Paul ‘Gripper’ Flannery
With a career spanning 20 years, Paul, more affectionately known as ‘Gripper’, is an animator who has lent his talents to a multitude of well known and award winning television shows, such as Postman Pat, Twirlywoos, Rory the Racing Car, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Norman Picklestripes and Mixmups to name just a few. For the Big screen, he has animated on the NetJlix movie ‘House’ and ‘Chuck Steel- Night of the Trampires’.
As a Director, Paul draws on his skills as an artist and storyteller to create worlds and characters that have his recognisable ‘gnarly’ style ingrained throughout them. With a passion for making Jilms that marry charming visuals to real world emotions, he has created the music video ‘Testing’ for British band - The Slow Show and the BFI funded short Jilm ‘Bernard’, both of which went on to win numerous awards on the festival circuit.
His creativity is matched by his chatty and friendly personality, always excited at the opportunity to meet with clients and work together to realise their goals. Paul looks forward to future projects that will both dazzle the imagination and resonate with the audience.
He lives in Manchester with his wife and two cats.
